Near-store messages

A near-store message is a push that appears on the guest's lock screen when they're close to one of your locations. Wallet passes support this natively; nothing extra is installed on the guest's phone.

Set one up

  1. Go to Push Notifications and open the Near-store messages tab.
  2. Pick the location, or all of them.
  3. Write the message. Keep it to one line: "You're near Northside. Show your card for a free drink today."
  4. Save.

How it behaves

  • The phone shows the message when it's within a few hundred metres of the address, at most a few times a day.
  • It uses the address on file for each location. On a multi-location brand, make sure every location has its address set.
  • Guests who don't allow location access for their wallet won't see it. That's their choice and it's fine.
