Card types
Diner On Demand offers three kinds of card. Most restaurants run two: a coupon to bring guests in, and a stamp or points card to bring them back.

| Type | Best for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Coupon | Acquisition | A one-time offer the guest redeems at the counter, such as free fries on the first visit. Once redeemed it can convert into your stamp or points card. |
| Stamp | Retention | The guest collects a stamp per visit and earns a reward when the card fills. Simple, visual, and the best fit for counter-service. |
| Reward (points) | Retention | The guest earns points per dollar spent and unlocks tiered rewards. More flexible than stamps, and rewards spend rather than visits. |
Choosing between stamp and points
- Pick stamp when every visit is roughly the same size and you want the card to feel like a game. "Buy 7, get one free."
- Pick reward when tickets vary a lot, or when you want to reward bigger orders. "10 points per dollar, free burger at 800."
- You can run both. Guests can hold more than one card.
What you can't change later
The card type is fixed once the card is created. Everything else can be edited: name, offer, stamps and reward, points rules, colours, images, signup fields, expiry, limits and wallet options. See Editing a card.
